[ # ] Division 2 and 3 Predictions
February 20th, 2007

I’ll try and make predictions for Divisions 2 and 3 here, 2 should be okay to figure but 3 will be nearly guess work. Much as I love hurling it’s hard to keep track of the lower teams, they’re so far off the radar in terms of news coverage.

It looks like Laois will top division 2A. They got off to a flyer with a huge win over Derry at the weekend and their policy of playing only under 25s could be showing some early dividends. Carlow may threaten them, following on from a good campaign last year and recent progress at minor level they seem to be making good strides.

2B could be a tight one, Westmeath didn’t play at the weekend as it’s only a 5 team group while Kerry and Kildare posted wins. It’s presumably going to be a battle between those 3 with Westmeath perhaps coming out tops.

Now comes the lottery bit for Division 3. I’ll go with Louth in 3A as they seem to be doing well of late. And in 3B I’ll chance Roscommon.
