[ # ] Quiet Hurling Weekend ahead
November 23rd, 2007

Seems to be a quiet weekend for the hurling, just a couple of junior and intermediate club games to be played. The Leinster and Munster club finals are due the following weekend December 2nd. Two good games in prospect there, might try and get to the Leinster one to see if Ballyboden can pull off a great win for Dublin hurling although you’d have to expect Birr to be favourites after their win over Shamrocks. Loughmore Castleiney are apparently struggling with a bunch of injuries ahead of their clash with Tulla but with over a week to go you can be sure most of them will be well healed in time.

The All Stars trip to New York is next week aswell, apparently Waterford’s Ken McGrath has to skip it due to his new business commitments.

Clare’s Davy Fitzgerald is managing Limerick IT again as they bid to retain their Fitzgibbon title and apparently he also hopes to get back on the Clare panel although he’s dealing with a very serious finger injury.

As has been well reported elsewhere Padraic Duffy is the new Director General of the GAA, an appointment that seems to be well recieved by most people.
