In contrast to the anti-grants story in the last post there’s a great story in the Irish Independent from Mayo hurler Derek Walsh who puts forward his case in support of the grants scheme. It’s good to get the point of view of a player from one of the so called weaker counties. One of the issues people had with the grants was that they’d only benefit the stronger counties but Derek Walsh’s story dispels that idea.
