Yesterday
TV3 announced their GAA championship coverage for the summer and there seems to be just 2 hurling games. They open with the Munster first round clash of Clare and Waterford on June 1st and then they have the Leinster final on the 6th of July. They have 10 games in total and the other 8 are from the football championship.
They’re using
Motive Television as their live match partner, who have been invovled in producing some other GAA content like Breaking Ball and Park Live.
Earlier in the year TV3 announced they’d have
Liam Griffin and
Nicky English for their hurling panel. Sounds like two good guys to have. Let’s just hope they find a decent presenter and commentator. Although with only two games they won’t be taxed too hard, and the Leinster final is a lame duck anyway - RTE are probably glad to be missing that one.
