[ # ] Cork are a great price for Kilkenny match
August 8th, 2008

Just looking at the betting on the Cork Kilkenny semi final and I can’t believe the odds. Cork seem to be way too big a price for what should be a close game.

Paddy Power have Cork at 9/4, they have the handicap at 3 points and you can still get Cork at 11/10 there.
Boylesports have Cork at 12/5.
I don’t know if it’s just me but that seems a big price in a 2 horse race. Time to put on a few bets!

Also just noticed it’s a similar story for Tipperary Waterford next week, with Tipp the odds on favourites and Waterford around 5/2.

Cork will win.
I think Kilkenny are afraid of them.
Cork’s backs will shut down the Cats forwards and Ben O’Connor, Cathal Naughton and Joe Deane will cause all sorts of problems for the Cats backs.
Diarmuid O’Sullivan will probably have a powerhouse of a game at full back.

this is a bit late - but - you have to remember - these guys are playing club hurling against each other all the time, that means they play against the best in the country and let me tell you, the local club games are no half hearted games, they play to win in every game they play. Over the year most of the Kilkenny forward will play against most of the Kilkenny backs at some time, the best on the best, they have no fear.
