Eoin was great again and deserves the allstar but I think Kevin Moran, Murpy and Kearney really tightened up the backline yesterday and they were the unsung heroes that wo us the game

thought biggest improvement was our midfield though, nagle ahd great energy and brick was coming back to his normal level of class. work to do to match them but think kilkenny would have preferred to be playing Tipp

unbelievable eventually reaching a final, didnt think id see the day, great performance,the cats will be a huge step up, they are class. hope the lads can give it everything and go 1 step further and take home the trophy against the odds. dont want to see a final like the limerick one last year, too much pride at stake in the local derby. cmon the deise

I don’t know about a watch - As Christy said in the first comment Waterford’s Eoin Kelly got man of the match and was presented with some piece of crystal. It’s just an RTE television thing really, not too big a deal, although the one for the all ireland final tends to make a fuss alright.

Re: Stevo’s comments on how Kilkenny would have preferred Tipp ?

I’m not sure what this is based on ? If its based on last year’s league final when Waterford won well you could equally look to this year’s league semi when Tipp won.
I honestly don’t believe Kilkenny had a preference one way or another. Waterford and Tipperary are both huge local rivals and either team would provide a huge challenge in the final.
I was delighted to see this Waterford team reaching the final this year and it should be a cracking encounter.
Tipp have youth on their side and should come again in 09.

Mark, reason i believe kilkenny would have preferred tipp instead of waterford is hunger. these players have been waiting their whole careers as have the supporters. tipp unless im wrong had a final 9 years ago, along time but not in same league. alot of players know this might be thier only shot and will not want to blow it. they will not be outmusled or outplayed for that reason, they wont allow themselves to be.As well some of our players live on emotion, Mullane being prime exammple and the day intensity of a first final will suit him down to ground. both teams are local rivals, both are good huurling teams but waterford will be more up for it and I believe can live physically with killkenny better than tipp could have. peopel may have belived the clebrations when we won semi were over the top but i disagree as i say just as much emotion in the stands and on the terrace, this game means so much to waterford people, win or lose, as long as the boys give agood account we’ll all be proud. Dan, molumpy and pender are all due good games as well as none have played so well this year. I’m cautiously optimistic and looking forawrd to the day. (oh by the way you wouldnt have a spare ticket would you, lol)
