[ # ] Championship begins
May 28th, 2009

The Championship proper throws in this weekend with 2 Leinster Quarter Finals and a Munster clash. Galway make their debut in Leinster and should easily overcome Laois. Wexford and Offaly will be a much closer affair. Wexford with home advantage may be able to get revenge for their Division 2 League Final defeat.

Tipperary and Cork in Thurles could be a cracker. No one knows what Cork will turn up but with all the experience in the team they should be able to muster a big performance.

Cashmans bookmakers show Tipperary at 2/5 to beat Cork who are at 9/4. They have the Wexford Offaly one very close with Wexford slight favourites 10/11 versus 11/10 and naturally enough Galway are 1/100 to see off Laois.

The Ulster championship is down to quarter final stage with Derry v London and Down v Armagh.

Predictions: Offaly, Galway, Tipperary, Derry and Down all to win.
